Background

CSF began in 2005 as one of Plymouth University’s four Higher Education Funding Council for England (HEFCE) funded Centres of Excellence for Teaching and Learning (CETLs), with the aim of developing and supporting the profile of sustainability across four ‘C’s: Curriculum, Campus, Community, and Culture.

A full programme of work over the five years of CETL funding (2005-10) ensued, contributing to Plymouth gaining recognition as top university in the national People and Planet Green League in 2010, and sustainability being endorsed at Plymouth as one of the university’s key platforms and identifiers.

Archived material from the CETL years including reports and evaluations as well CSF’s research and development output is available.
