Living cost loans
All students are eligible to a living cost loan (also called maintenance loans) if you are studying full-time. This is to help towards your day to day spending such as food, travel and accommodation.
In 2012/13 the maximum annual loan available will be:
- Students living at home £4,375
- Students living away from home £5,500
Neither your tuition fee nor living costs loans will be repaid until students graduate and earn over £21,000 a year.
The table below shows examples of what you can expect your monthly and weekly loan repayments will be once you are earning over £21,000:
