In addition to 24/7 access to the Charles Seale-Hayne Library, Plymouth Business School students also have access to the Business Language & Information Service in the Cookworthy Building.

If you are studying at one of our other centres, information about opening hours at the Knowledge Spa (Truro), Somerset College and UCP Marjon is available on their websites.

acting on Student feedback

Feedback from students is collected from both local and national surveys, and we have representatives at course and school committees, so we hear first-hand what you have to say. In 2012 we also held a feedback event in the library and a series of focus groups.  We respond to your comments with actions, not just words.

Some changes implemented recently  as a result of student feedback:

  • Quick use PCs have been introduced on level 1 of the library.
  • Roving Assistants provide point of need library and IT support within the building.
  • Ask Live Chat enquiry service was introduced in May 2012 .

 What our students say

"Wish I could keep my card after graduation!"

"The best place to crack on with work that night before a deadline, and love the white boards."

"The group study on first floor is really good.  Movable tables etc and being able to rearrange tables has been very useful."

"24/7 is the best!  Actually saved me with my deadlines thousand times."

"Go library!"

Help and Support

The Library Information Desk is staffed 24/7 to assist with general enquiries and referrals.  More in-depth support is provided during core hours by Library, Media and IT specialists.

Information Specialists work in partnership with Schools and teaching staff to ensure that all students gain skills in information literacy: a key element of employability.

A Special Support Services team within the library provides focused support for students with disabilities, or other special circumstances.
