Coaching and volunteering

The Sport & Active Leisure Service provides high quality coaching to a number of sports clubs throughout the year including home match support.  Partnerships have formed with a number of professional clubs in the City to provide opportunities for the University and students beyond coaching.

Students have volunteering opportunities through coaching to work with local sports clubs and schools in Plymouth whilst studying at Plymouth University; this includes paid and unpaid work.

Sports related courses are organised to support grass roots development through to high performance.  Students have the opportunity to qualify as Level1 and level 2 coaches.  Coaching qualifications can be part funded in return for volunteering hours through the student clubs, the community or schools during the year.

A variety of sport related primary courses are organised throughout the year to support the Faculty of Education student’s including High 5 Netball, Tag Rugby, Swimming and Football.
