Policies
The University recognises the real educational and business benefits of having a diverse community of staff and students who value one another and the different contributions they can make to achieving the University's mission to be open and accessible and to deliver teaching and research to world-class standards. It is fully committed to promoting equality and eliminating discrimination for all of its staff and students, applicants and visitors.
Our Equality & Diversity and Harassment & Bullying Policies (see links to the right) apply to all aspects of staff and student activity within the University. Everyone is expected to support and implement all of our equality policies and ensure that their behaviour and/or actions do not amount to discrimination or harassment in any way.
The University has developed and approved the Equality Scheme 2011-16 (see link to the right). The Equality Scheme 2011-16 has superseded the University's Race, Disability and Gender Schemes from the 2011/12 academic year onwards.
