​Course summary 

experiments using foodThe contributions of physical activity and diet to health are becoming increasingly clear. In particular, obesity and chronic diseases such as cardio-vascular disease, type 2 diabetes and some types of cancer have been linked to these aspects of lifestyle.
 
This course provides a multi-disciplinary insight into the science underpinning the roles of nutrition and exercise in good health.
 
Students on this course will study the key disciplines that relate exercise and nutrition to health, the physiological and psychological implications of health-related behaviours and be equipped with the applied techniques and vocational skills for employment in these inter-related fields.

This course is offered by the School of Biomedical and Biological Sciences.
