Kellie, our adviser for International Management, says:
"The International Business degree aims to develop your understanding of the major economic, political, legal and cultural factors which contribute to the formation of the international business environment.  Career prospects in this sector are expected to expand as an increasing number of companies conduct global business but competition for vacancies is still fierce. As an international business graduate you will be able to apply your knowledge to a wide variety of sectors and if you specialise in one or more languages you many decide to work for an organisation dealing within international markets, or you may choose to work abroad."

Relevant Work Experience
On the International Business course you are given the opportunity to spend a year abroad on a placement which will develop your skills.  As competition is still fierce for vacancies the key to success is to developing your skills further and networking with relevant employers to demonstrate your motivation for this industry.  You can do this in a variety of ways by engaging with professional organisations, taking part in business challenges, and finding relevant voluntary experiences. 



​Previous Plymouth University graduates from this course are now employed in a wide variety of roles, some of which include: Managing Director, Telecommunications Consultant, Marketing Analyst, Management Trainee, Health & Safety Administrator, Coordinator, Trainee Accounts Manager.
