City College Plymouth is one of the largest colleges in the South West, located just one-and-a-half miles from the University. The college has two main sites linked by college shuttle buses. With a dynamic Students’ Union and Student Liaison Team, students are able to make the most of their time in Plymouth. Students study in an adult environment, supported by excellent staff with close tutorial support and the latest equipment and learning resources.
Investment from the European Regional Development Fund and the University of Plymouth, Higher Education Learning Partnership, Centre for Excellence in Teaching and Learning has ensured that the College’s accommodation and equipment prepare students for the challenges of the 21st century. Students on higher education courses have access to dedicated Higher Education Centre.
Our Student Services team provides support for students of all ages, which includes careers guidance, learning support and advice on financial matters. There is also a variety of shops and services; these include a delicatessen, training restaurant and brasserie, and hair and beauty salons. In addition, parking and a day nursery are available at the main centres.
The close proximity to the University means that higher education students at City College Plymouth have access to the learning resources centre at the College, as well as the University’s library, a real bonus for higher education students.
