Improving outcomes for Children and Young People

An opportunity to develop and consolidate knowledge and skills within the challenging but important area of the children’s workforce.

Following Every Child Matters and the 2004 Children's Act, we are required to work in an interdisciplinary and collaborative way in order to improve outcomes for all children and young people.  This course will help you to explore and prepare for the realities of successful interagency working as we strive to achieve the best for children and young people in our care.

The course is delivered in a way which is directly relevant to the workplace.  Students have the opportunity to spend time learning within their chosen setting, by undertaking action research, observation and reflecting on their work as well as the work of others

Students might be working in Education provision, in Children's Centres, Social Services, healthcare, and the Third Sector (charity, voluntary and non-profit organisations) as well as for child-minders, foster carers and parent support workers.
