Work placement year

  • Enhance your technical know-how, personal and professional skills, business understanding and future employability with a (paid) year in professional web development employment
  • Assistance will be provided in finding placement employment with high-quality company contacts
  • The placement is optional for students undertaking BSc Web Applications Development.
  • Students undertaking placement receive a salary from the employer, commensurate with age, experience and dependent upon the region. Salaries are normally within the range £11-18,000 per annum. Placement employers are located both locally and nationally; in some cases internationally.
  • Employers who have recently hosted Plymouth Computing students include Goss Interactive, IBM, Glaxo, Accenture, Panasonic, Hewlett Packard, The NHS, Intel, British Nuclear Power, Eli Lilly, Fujitsu, Siemens, Microsoft, Lloyds TSB, Reuters, Philips
