Following the merger of North Devon and East Devon Colleges, Petroc is the largest college in Devon with the main campuses being Barnstaple, Tiverton and Brannams. It aims to be central to the economic, cultural and social development of Devon’s rural communities. Students studying at the combined college will benefit from an increase in resources and choice of learning opportunities available to them.
Petroc Barnstaple (formerly North Devon College), graded by Ofsted as ‘outstanding’ in 2006, has strong links with the community and local employers. College staff are specialists in their own subject areas providing quality guidance and delivery on all courses. On-site facilities include a dedicated HE suite and common room, beauty salons, a theatre and a gymnasium, parking and a crèche.
Located by the river, the Petroc campus in Tiverton has modern and well-resourced facilities following an extensive new build in 2006. The college is expanding its range of HE provision in conjunction with the Barnstaple campus.
