The course focuses upon sustainability and the environment. Businesses are increasingly aware that the environment and factors connected with sustainability have become a major issue.
Buildings have a huge impact on our environment in terms of energy use, waste, pollution and habitat disruption. Legislation and taxation, such as the climate change levy is in part, driving the issue forward, but many of those in work are slow to adapt to the new realities. Businesses have to adapt to the new realities now - not in the future - sustainability is a core issue.
To cope with this businesses need environmentally aware individuals to help them. We at Plymouth, predicted this need and have embedded strong environmental themes throughout this course.
