BA (Hons) Marketing
Successful marketing means better products, satisfied customers, repeat business and bigger profits. Our degree course will teach you to become a flexible, skilled communicator with a flair for marketing strategy and tactics, whose talent is highly sought after. Completing this degree will also qualify you for exemptions from professional marketing qualifications.
By choosing to specialise in marketing, a graduate applying for a marketing post has a significant head start over other candidates who have chosen to pursue a generic business course. The benefits of subject specialism are also evident when undergraduates are applying for placement jobs in the second year of their studies.
Our undergraduate degree course aims to develop your understanding of both business and how marketing professionals function. Marketing management is regularly faced with the need to analyse complex situations, develop a viable plan of action and pursue this plan to a successful conclusion. This course focuses on practice as well as theory. Marketing students have worked in placements at American Express, Animal, Boss, British Airways, Chase Manhattan Bank, Hewlett Packard, IBM, Marks and Spencer, Sun Microsystems and Wella.
