Take part in real life projects
As an integral part of your final year studies, you will have the opportunity to take part in real projects, either operational or strategic. As a member of a business team of students (normally four) you will work to provide a free business consultancy service to businesses, not-for-profit enterprises, charities, schools and colleges in the Plymouth travel-to-work area. Project areas could include market research, financial planning and/or control, human resource management, strategic positioning, and the external business environment. Other relevant business areas may also be considered for projects. Each consultancy team will have a university mentor who will oversee the production of the required consultancy reports. Employers in commercial, manufacturing and service organisations, in both public and private sectors, are constantly seeking graduates with both broad-based academic knowledge in all aspects of business administration and a high level of business skills. This course is designed to balance these essential ingredients, marrying the academic and the vocational, in order to maximise your career and lifetime opportunities.
