We scored 23/24 in the government's most recent independent quality assessment.

All BEng (Hons) and MEng (Hons) courses are accredited by the professional institutions and, with suitable training after university, lead to Chartered Engineer status.  The MEng (Hons) courses satistfy the educational base while the BEng (Hons) require 'further learning'.

Professional accreditation

​This degree is accredited as:
 
1) fully satisfying the educational base for an Incorporated Engineer (IEng);
 
2) partially satisfying the educational base for a Chartered Engineer (CEng). A programme of accredited further learning will be required to complete the educational base for CEng.

Course highlights

Optional pathways are available in structural design or coastal engineering. These include a group project to help develop communication and other skills. Available as MEng (Hons) or BEng (Hons). Selection for MEng is in year two.
