Programme overview

The programme develops articulate reflective practitioners, meeting the demands of health and social care settings, whilst maintaining creativity.

The programme is delivered by distance education so it provides flexibility to fit study around job and home requirements.

This programme is part of the Inter-professional Masters Scheme and has been running successfully for over 18 years. It is one of the first of its kind to be delivered fully via distance learning and, as such, has a strong national and international reputation.

For more information about the Advanced Occupational Therapy programme please visit the Programme structure page and view our short video clips.

New programme developments

If you are currently enrolled on the programme or doing distance learning you will still be supported by staff and be able to complete your studies on the existing programme.

The Advanced Occupational Therapy programme is currently undergoing significant redevelopment and subject to approval a new MSc in Advanced Professional Practice (Occupational Therapy) will be available from January 2013.

The new Advanced Professional Practice programme will allow for 1 year full time study as well as part time options and will be delivered by blended learning rather than distance learning.

Please note: The new programme and pathways will commence in January 2013 and applications are welcome now.
