2011 Plymouth graduate headlines

84% of UK-based full time graduates responded (the HESA target rate is 80%).

79% of UK-based part time graduates responded (the HESA target is 70%).
 
Of those graduating from a full time first degree, 91% are in employment and/or further study.
 
57% of graduates are in paid employment (including self-employment).
26% of graduates are engaged in further study

73% of employed graduates are working in the South West
 
7% are believed to be unemployed
3.7% are not available for employment e.g. travelling, temporarily sick, retired etc.

Are You A Recent Leaver?

 
Six months after your graduate, the government insists you provide information on your employability status. It's called the Destination of Leavers Higher Education survey (DLHE).
 

This is a national survey of everyone who recently qualified from a university or HE college.

What do foundation degree graduates do?

Plymouth University has around 10,000 students who are studying Foundation Degrees in a network of Plymouth University colleges across the South West of England. Having established a national reputation in the delivery of these programmes, we have also been researching the career progression of these graduates.
