Allocations are based on the preferred length of tenancy and type of room indicated in the online application.
When you are applying for allocated accommodation, please think carefully about the price of your preferred accommodation by viewing the prices online. We will not offer you a room that costs more than your stated preference.
Our allocation process gives priority to overseas students, Peninsula College of Medicine and Dentistry students and also students who are referred via Disability Assist Services for specific housing needs relating to medical conditions or disability. After these priority students have been taken into account, the other rooms will be allocated based on availability at the time of processing.
At present there are University allocated places for less than 60% of the first year students who apply for them. If it is not possible to offer you a room in halls we will assist you with comprehensive information explaining how to access our database of approved accommodation, and details of our Find a Home Event.
